Registration Now Open For U12 and U14 Emerging Talent Programme Trials
Birmingham Panthers are thrilled to announce trials for our Emerging Talent Programme.
This fantastic opportunity allows young girls to showcase their netball skills and, if successful, advance their game through a comprehensive coaching programme.
Registration is now open.
The trials will be held at three venues at the following dates/times to ensure accessibility for participants from across the West Midlands:
University of Birmingham
July 1st, 6-8 PM for under-12s
July 1st, 8-10 PM for under-14s
University of Warwick
July 3rd, 6-8 PM for under-12s
July 3rd, 8-10 PM for under-14s
University of Worcester
July 8th, 6-8 PM for under-12s
July 8th, 8-10 PM for under-14s

For each of the trials, registration closes at 23.59 BST the day before. So, please act swiftly if you are interested.
Emerging Talent Programme FAQ
Question: Does my child qualify for these trials?
- To be eligible for the U12 trials your child must be born after the 1 September 2012.
- To be eligible for the U14 trials your child must be born after 1 September 2010.
Question: Can my child take part in more than one trial?
- Please only apply for ONE of the three available dates in July. Ideally, the one closest to where you live.
Question: What happens if my child is unable to make any of the dates in July?
- We understand that not everyone will be able to make the dates in July. Therefore, we have taken the decision to hold further ETP trials in September. Details of these will be released in the coming weeks.
Question: what is the process for securing a place on the Emerging Talent Programme?
- If successful, athletes will be asked to return for a final trial in September. From there, we will select athletes to take part in the ETP.
Question: How do you determine the closest Emerging Talent Programme location for successful athletes?
- If successful, athletes will be placed in an ETP closest to the location stated on their trial application.
Question: How does the collaboration with County Associations work, and what should U13 & U15 county players expect?
- Birmingham Panthers Emerging Talent Programme works in collaboration with County Associations & does not replace U13 & U15 county netball.
Question: What are the dates and locations for the additional trials for the Emerging Talent Programmes, Player Development Programmes, and Netball Performance League Squads?
- All additional trials for Emerging Talent Programmes, Player Development Programmes and Netball Performance League Squads will take place in September. Further details will be published over the coming weeks.
