With just weeks to go before the start of Birmingham Panthers’ first-ever Netball Super League season, the team is thrilled to introduce Peaky the Panther—our official mascot, ready to bring energy, passion, and a whole lot of fun to matchdays and beyond!

A Fan-Powered Name

The Panthers community played a huge role in naming our new mascot. After an incredible response from fans submitting creative suggestions, a final vote crowned Peaky as the winning name—one that reflects our region’s rich heritage, fierce determination, and undeniable spirit.

Peaky Joins the Squad!

Peaky isn’t just about matchday entertainment—she’s set to become a stalwart of West Midlands sport, hyping up home fans and making sure that there is a great atmosphere at all our home games. But her impact will extend far beyond the court—Peaky will form a core part of our community engagement programme, visiting schools, sports clubs and netball courts across the region, inspiring young fans and spreading the Panthers’ passion for the game.

A Monumental Season Awaits

The Panthers have been making big moves ahead of their debut season, including:

• A winning start for our NSL squad, in last weekend’s pre-season friendly.
• Unveiling our new on-court dress, designed by BCU Fashion students.
• Announcing a major partnership with the University of Wolverhampton, giving students invaluable access to elite sports environments.

And now, with Peaky joining the squad, the excitement is reaching new heights!
