Birmingham Panthers to Establish Elite Player Pathway And Emerging Talent Programmes
Over the coming months, the Birmingham Panthers will unveil plans around the establishment of an elite player pathway aimed at fostering top-tier netball talent in the West Midlands.
This initiative will engage local schools and clubs to build a robust pipeline of players who will have an opportunity to fulfil their potential and advance to the Netball Super League (NSL).
Central to this will be the Panthers’ Community Delivery program, which includes hosting camps and play days for schools across the region.
These events will feed into our Emerging Talent Programmes (ETPs) and Player Development Programmes (PDPs), providing a structured pathway for young players. Additionally, club players will have the opportunity to be selected for these programs, enhancing their development.
Our inclusive approach extends to university students, who can also integrate into our pathway structure and NSL team. Through partnerships with local schools, clubs, and county netball associations, we aim to identify and support talent from an early age, ensuring a seamless transition to higher levels of competition.
Our hope is that through this comprehensive system, we can solidify Birmingham, and the West Midlands, as a centre for elite netball.
