Overview of the Role
Are you passionate about digital marketing and ready to play a key role in building the Birmingham Panthers’ brand and community?
As the Marketing Manager, you’ll support the execution of the Panthers’ digital and communications strategy, working closely with the Head of Digital, Marketing, and Communications to bring our brand closer to fans, enhance engagement, and contribute to the success of our community initiatives. You’ll oversee day-to-day marketing activities, from content creation to social media management, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across all channels. With support from the Marketing team, you’ll help shape a vibrant digital presence for the Panthers.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and ambitious franchise, developing innovative digital content and engaging campaigns that amplify the Panthers’ impact across Birmingham and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing the digital marketing strategy to grow and engage the fan base, strengthening the Birmingham Panthers’ brand presence across all digital channels.
- Help develop and manage content for social media, website, and email campaigns, ensuring consistent and engaging storytelling across platforms. Collaborate with content creators to bring campaigns to life.
- Support innovative engagement initiatives to connect with fans both online and offline, contributing to a dynamic and inclusive fan community.
- Execute multi-channel digital campaigns focused on ticket sales, events, volunteering, and partnerships, monitoring their performance and gathering insights to refine future campaigns.
- Assist in coordinating digital campaigns with partners and sponsors to ensure alignment and positive engagement with the Panthers’ brand.
- Collaborate with agencies and freelancers on digital projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and align with campaign goals.
- Support the Head of Digital, Marketing, and Communications in liaising with England Netball, ensuring alignment on marketing activities and shared objectives.
- Track and report on engagement metrics and campaign performance to support data-driven improvements in our digital strategy.
- Assist with CRM activities in collaboration with external partners, helping to maintain and strengthen fan relationships through targeted communications.
Skills & Requirements:
- Proven experience working within a marketing team, collaborating effectively across roles and contributing to shared goals.
- Good understanding of social media platforms, content management systems, and digital campaign strategies.
- Ability to develop engaging, innovative marketing campaigns with a focus on measurable results.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong editorial eye.
- Proficiency in analysing data and metrics to evaluate campaign success.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexible and adaptable, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and available for match days, including evenings and weekends.
